Energizer Ultimate Photo Contest & Giveaway

Calling all photographers...or even if you just pretend to be a photographer, this means you too!

National Geographic and Energizer are once again teaming up for their Third Annual Energizer Ultimate Photo Contest! Now though June 30th, photo enthusiasts of all levels can submit their photos for a chance to have one featured in the December issue of National Geographic Magazine (in an ad for Energizer Ultimate Lithium Batteries.) If that is not a dream in itself, the winner will also be awarded with a trip of a lifetime - a National Geographic Expedition for two to the Greek Isles. Oh, be still my heart. Could you imagine? And the best part about the whole contest...you don't have to be a pro to win! "You don't have to be an expert or have professional equipment to capture a magnificent shot," said 20- year National Geographic photographer and contest judge Jim Richardson. "One of last year's category winning photos was shot by a zoo employee with a regular point and shoot camera. Great photography is often about being in the right place at the right time and making sure you're there to capture the moment when it happens."

Aspiring photographers can visit nationalgeographic.com/lithium to enter one photo in each of six thematic categories: animals/wildlife, nature, travel, people/cultures, weather, action/energy.
