Kroger P & G Event

Unfortunately, I tend to do my Kroger grocery shopping on Wednesdays - the last day of their sales. Even though I can still post about them and link up coupons, it doesn't do others much good to go and try to get the same deals. Unless, of course, the sales carry over each week (which many items do.)

For instance, last week, P & G had a sale going on - Buy $25 worth of select P & G products and receive $5.00 off instantly! The promotion isn't listed in the Kroger sale flyer this week, but it is still being advertised on the website. Does anyone know if it is valid? Just in case, I wanted to show you what I bought.

Here is how I worked this deal:
(remember, $.50 and lower coupons are doubled every day at Kroger)
  • Bounty paper towels: $7.00 - $1.00 mailer Q = $6.00
  • Gillette Men's body wash: $3.50 - $2.00 Q in Prilosec box = $1.50
  • 2 Dawn Foaming soaps: $4.00 - (2) $1.50 Q in Homemade Simple booklets = $1.00
  • 3 Dawn Hand Renewal dish soap: $6.00 - (3) $.50 Q's in Homemade Simple booklets = $3.00
  • 3 Dawn Pure Essentials dish soap: $6.00 - (3) $.50 Q's in Homemade Simple booklets = $3.00
Regular total: $26.50
Coupons: $12.00
Promo: $5.00
My Total: $9.50

Not too shabby for all of that, eh? *wink*

And...just in case you are curious on other savings, here are the rest of the groceries I bought.
Full price, no sales, no coupons, no promos: $154.08

All savings: $68.56
My total: $85.52
(includes the P & G deal AND...the little monster truck my son HAD to have)
