Kroger Deals and Steals: $141.48 for $34.40 cash

**If you are in the Kroger Central Region, our sales run from Thursday to Wednesday each week. So, go today or tomorrow if you want to take advantage of any of these deals. Also remember, Kroger doubles coupons up to a $.50 face value every day - so some of my amounts listed have been doubled.**

You ever have those weeks where you really don't need much from the grocery store? If it wasn't for the basics (milk, bread, coffee, etc), I probably didn't need to go shopping at all! Though, do you really think I could pass up sales if they added to my stock up shopping?

No need to answer.

Here's how it all breaks down:

Total: $141.48
Minus Sales: $39.85
If I ONLY shopped using store sales, my cash total would have been: $101.63
But, by using $37.33 in coupons...my total ended up as:
$64.30
But wait...it gets better. During the Build-A-Bear Workshop Brand event last week, I was given a $30 gift card to cover dinner on the first night. Well, you know me...I decided to save the money and use it for groceries this week. Savvy shopping at it's best!

$64.30 Minus the $30.00 gift card...makes a grand total of:
$34.30

Here are a few of the coupons I used:

  • Coffee mate creamer:$2.99 - $.100 Sunday Q = $1.99
  • Aunt Millie's Bread: $1.59 - $.55 Sunday Q = $1.04
  • Activia Yogurt: $1.99 - $1.00 Sunday Q = $.99
  • Poise Liners: $3.45 FREE with Kroger coupon
  • Millstone Coffee: $6.79 - $2.00 Sunday Q (that some sweet soul left on the shelf) = $4.79
  • 4 Sobe: $3.52 - (2x) BOGOF printable = $1.76 for FOUR
  • 2 Eckrich Sausages: $4.00 - (2x) $.75 Sunday Q = $2.50 for TWO
  • 3 Hamburger Helper: $3.00 - $.75 on 3 Sunday Q - $.75 cellfire = $1.50 for THREE
  • 2 Ball Park Franks: $3.00 - $.75 on 2 Sunday Q = $2.25 for TWO
  • 2 Cheetos: $3.36 - (2x) $1 Sunday Q = $1.36 for TWO
  • Splenda 100 pks: $5.09 - $1.00 Sunday Q = $4.09 (I hate this price but was needed)
  • 2 Trident White Gum: $2.58 - (2x) $1.00 Facebook Q = $.58 for TWO
  • Betty Crocker Cake Mix & Frosting: $2.49 - $1.00 on both printable = $1.49 for TWO (I thought I had a digital coupon on this as well, but it must have expired. grrrr)
  • Yoplait Delights: $2.49 - $1.00 Sunday Q - $1.00 Shortcuts = $.49
  • Nut Clusters: (another screwed up deal with digital coupons) $3.79 - $1.00 Sunday Q - $1.00 Shortcuts = $1.79

You DO know you can use coupons even on clearance items, don't you?
  • 4 Nesquick Milkshakes: $3.16 - (2x) $1.00 on 2 Sunday Q's = $1.16 for FOUR
  • 4 Crescent Rolls: $2.00 - (2x) $.80 Sunday Q's = $.40 for FOUR

Kroger is also having some sort of Daytona Deal this week - buy any 10 of participating items, get $3.00 off instantly at the register - no limit on deals, but all items have to be bought at the same time.
On top of getting the $3.00 off, General Mills is running a Catalina Coupon - if you buy 5 or more fruit snacks, you receive a coupon for $3.50 off of your next trip! Woot! THAT was a nice surprise, as I wasn't aware of the deal when I was shopping. Stocking up on fruit snacks is just a practice of mine.

With originally only needing a few basics, I would say I really cleaned up this week.
Don't ya think? *wink*
