Last Friday, Cheapo posted a Chummy Recipe for Chicken Paprikash - it is now realized that the link is the same, but the store providing the recipe changes the recipe weekly! So...here it is for anyone interested.
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken, cut into chunks
ground black pepper and salt
1 T. oil
1 c. chopped or sliced onion
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 oz. diced ham
2 tsp. paprika
1 c. chicken broth (I ended up using the whole can)
4 T sour cream
1 T flour
egg noodles, cook per directions
**Because the mixture sat for a bit until Husband came home, I ended up adding a bit of half and half when I reheated it - just to add a little more sauce**
Season chicken pieces with pepper and salt. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat and saute chicken just until lightly browned. Remove chicken and keep warm. Add onions, garlic and diced ham to skillet, saute just until lightly browned. Reduce heat, sprinkle onions with paprika and toss to combine. Pour in chicken broth. Place chicken back in skillet, cover and simmer until chicken is cooked through and onions are tender, about 20 minutes. Placed chicken on serving platter. Combine sour cream with flour, add to broth and cook until thickened. Serve sauce over chicken and cooked noodles.
Enjoy!
